If it seems like I'm on EC a little less its because I'm up to my elbows in remodeling projects! I'm painting the hall, living room, bathroom, dining room, and kitchen. We're tearing out the cabinets in the bathroom and kitchen and putting in new ones. We're replacing the carpet. It's all very exciting but alot of work. It's also fun trying to run my child care business in the midst of all this. Oh yes, I'm getting new furniture too! (!) (!) (!)

    Good luck Becky.

Just remember when you choose paint colours that what looks OK on a (one inch square) sample sheet will often have a different effect in a whole room.

I can remember a couple of jobs I have done for people where the result wasn't quite what they anticipated...
like the lady who wanted something 'bright and cheerful' - and chose a very 'sunny' yellow (the place looked like the inside of a tub of margarine...:eek:slight_smile:
or the Doctors who wanted some 'warm colours' for their treatment rooms and chose (amongst others) a sort of 'light strawberry' (they had that one repainted when they realised it looked more like something from the inside of a brothel...:badgrin:slight_smile:

Getting small sample pots and trying them out first on a section of wall is often a good idea.

I did painting as a second job while I was younger - then again in more recent times when I had to 'reinvent' myself because I chose to take a redundancy from a long term career job which was going to become something I didn't want to do.

I'm back on track with something more in keeping with my usual work background now tho'.
