Not as in romantically, as in friends.

I have almost all female friends, I always have. I don't get along with a lot of guys for some reason...

And also, what is your gender (if you care to answer that)?

Even. More or less. Though I used to have much more guy friends, but only because when I was 12-13 (and everyone else 13-14), I got along much better with the nerdy guys and the very few nerdy girls there were at my school than with... Well, about anyone else.

Great question, and I'm sure it's very applicable for a lot of the forum folks on here.

    When I was in my teens and early 20s, I'd say 60:40 - male:female.

    As I got into my 30s, I'd say 80:20 - male:female.

A couple of reasons: I found more guys I wanted to hang around with that I could talk with more freely about "life," some of the women got married, some of the women were interested in me and I wasn't in them (not a situation I like to be in), and some of the women were somewhat, or became more, condescending as time went on. I never had this kind of friction with my male friends. Friendships with males were just easier and lacked head trips. I'm happier with my pie chart of friends at this time.

It's about even for me. However, my best friends in this entire world are straight males.

    Girls by far, like 99%.

The other 1% is guys, but more acquaintances or distant friends as opposed to close friends.

My friendships and acquaintanceships have been fairly even on gender lines considering the entirety of my existence, but of late (past year or so) it strangely seems the only people I am befriending/meeting are women.

    *shrugs shoulders*

Male-sexed; prefer to claim that I have no gender.

Right now, this is the gender ratio for my friends too. Though in middle school, where I shared geeky interests with lots of guys, such as Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh, etc., I had an even amount of friends.

Now I have two guys who are close friends - one from university and my older brother (lol). But every other one is nothing more but an acquaintance.

I said girls, but it's actually more complicated than that. Most of the people I hang out with and consider casual friends are guys; however, pretty much 100% of the people I form platonic bonds with are women. In practice this means I have a lot more guy "friends" without being close to any of them.

As for my gender, I am genderfluid. Generally feel like I sit outside the binary, but if I had to pick a side, I'd go with female.

Guy and mostly girl friends. They never tell me anything though, because they think I am a gossip monster. It is massively confusing.

Don't have many friends but right now, I'd say it's almost even. Most of my close friends are female but I've got a growing number of male friends. I'd like more male friends, honestly, always have so maybe I'd finally have people to be a guy around...?

girlfriends. Guys, they never want me to hang out with them so and they think everything i say is dumb. I could care less though because my girl friends aren't arrogant assholes like them. I have guy friends but they think they are hot shit but they aren't

This. Like this is mainly the reason why I don't have a lot of guy friends. A lot of guys I meet are condescending and annoying with me and I just don't like being treated that way. Plus they aaalll think they are just sooo hawt it is soo annoying in a really obnoxious way XD

Although I like the guys I talk to on here and other forums. It just seems like most guys I meet in real life aren't like the ones on here unfortunately.
