Whenever I see a link like this, I look at several clue to distinguish the validity of the website before I even consider reading it.

[3] The company behind the website "American College of Pediatricians" (this is NOT the AAP - American Academy of Pediatrics) More on this below.

Now just by reading the first paragraph, new red flags.
[1] Attack on the portrayal of LGBT culture in the media
[2] Attack scientific and medical association supportive of LGBT

Now, what is the American College of Pediatricians? According to Wikipedia:

Not really, no.

For one, "Level of Promiscuity" uses "studies" that have long been debunked and have no credibility. It's true however that the gay community is more promiscuous, but not to the extent portrayed in those studies (some suggesting a gay man or woman having more than 100 partners).

"Physical Health", more questionable studies, some unmentioned as well. However it's true that STDs rates are higher amongst gays. This has more to do with the lack of proper sex education than homosexuals being more predisposed to STDs for being homosexual.

"Mental Health", nothing surprising here when you have plenty of people saying you're going to hell if you're gay...

"Life Span", more bad studies.

"Monogamy", although partly true, the sources are dated from far back (pre-2000). Open-relationships are more common amongst gays, but is not exclusive to the gay community. Nor are open-relationships the only type of relationship in the LGBT community.

I'm just surprised people care so much about stuff like this. We know it isn't true so why is everyone so concerned about it?

Easy, because there are [plenty] of people who visit these sites and think information like these are true when they're not.

If we want people to accept LGBT in general, letting those bigots spread misinformation only goes to delay general acceptance and making it harder for LGBT folks to come out when the general perception of homosexuals is that of a bunch of STD-infected promiscuous perverts.

Anal sex has a higher chance of transmitting STD's, protected or not. No arguing that.

Mental Health is due to society putting pressure.

Promiscuity is because men tend to have higher sex drives than females, are less picky about sexual partners, and just enjoy sex. Men can orgasm way easier basically, there is much more reward in sex, therefore we do it more.

People can argue with what I said but it is all true for the majority. Sure there are non-horny guys, and hornier girls, and sure you can get an STD from vaginal sex, and sure people can brush off society and their comments, but when it comes down to it all of it is the truth. I think we get offended because we don't want it to be true. I just take it as fact and don't let it bother me.

I know men are generally horny, I know the risks of anal sex, and I am depressed at times because of how the world thinks of me.

So the fact I understand and identify with these stereotypes does give them some validity to me.

I am in a monogamous relationship right now, never thought about fucking another guy, but I do want to fool around with my boyfriend everytime we hang out.

So I really don't see the problem, if it doesn't match you don't get upset that it matches the majority.

I am not going to argue against nature and science, no matter how malicious these facts may seem.

One thing I can argue is that homosexual relationships can maybe easily be more monogamous because I find the link and understanding between two people of the same sex to generally be stronger than people with different parts; not ripping on heterosexuality it's what makes the world continue on.

 

This is just a bunch of crap that is pure B.S. Don't even bother to worry. People need to accept that love is love, wether it's girl/girl, guy/guy, or girl/guy.
