So my parents told me they have been looking at buying a vacation home in Australian Gold Coast, anyone from there? Is it nice I've never actually been? My parents went a while ago and loved it. Can anyone tell me about it
It's really a tourist city, and nothing more to it. Personally, I hate it, but you might find it fun. It is a very liberal city for Queensland, so you won't find it all too bad in terms of sexuality.
Is there a lot of hot guys? LOL is it a wealthy city? I'm curious as to why it's called the Gold Coast? Is it a lot of gold there? Or something? ---------- Post added 4th Jul 2013 at 12:57 AM ---------- I was at the cactus club it's in Canada it's like bar kind of restaurants around Vancouver anyways this Australian lady was my waitress and she kept saying "too easy" is that slang there or is she just weird? LOL
The Gold Coast is very much a tourist area. I've never been there, but I'd say 50% of Australian families have gone for a holiday there at some point. And yeah, "too easy" is a fairly common slang phrase for "sure, can do".
it's awesome. Everything revolves around the beaches. It's kinda half retirees, half surferish people. Tanned hot topless men everywhere. Some ugly topless men. Some topless women on the beach. My grandparents used to own 2 houses there... I was pretty pissed when they sold both of them! Surfer's paradise is the main city there, it's not that big but very active. There is a very large city (3rd largest in Aus) only a couple hours up the coast called brisbane, it's the fastest growing city in the under 30s age group at the moment. Consider yourself lucky!
My parents said something about paradise waters? Idk where that is but that's where they are looking....
It can be, but it also has very mild winters. Think high 20s to high 30s in summer, with the occasional 40ish day. 15 to high 20s in winter. It's tropical, lots of summer thunder storms and such.. which are amazing!
OH MY GOODNESS! Maybe we will run into each other ahah! Idk exactly were ill be but I know my parents are seeing homes in paradise waters
Well, if google is right... http://goo.gl/maps/nIDfx You're going to be right in the absolute F-ing middle of surfer's paradise. Wow.
I've been there once, we stayed with a family friend. It's pretty nice as a tourist city, and it seems like there is a lot going on. But I'm from Perth, and the nightlife's not that big here, so take what you will from that . I remember that family friend telling us that Noosa is filled with snobby people, but I wasn't there long enough to make my own judgements.
