She is one of my best friends and the only person in the family that I know will be accepting. She has gay friends and is supportive of equal marriage rights. I think she already knows, but I have planned to talk to her tomorrow anyway. She will be a very important ally when the time does come to tell the family or if it ever comes out unexpectedly. I will say that I expect the fecal matter to hit the fan when everyone else finds out. I really hope this goes well. We have plans to go shopping tomorrow afternoon :rolle::. I'd tell her afterwards but someone else will be going with us and I don't want to lose my nerve. Wish me luck!
Well.. I did it! It went well. I think it actually made us closer. She's very open minded and was really supportive. Hands down- the best sister-in-law ever. We did go on our shopping trip and there was no awkwardness at all. I can't believe that it went so well. The rest of the fam will be a challenge, but for now I will just be happy about this.
