....but I'm not sure where to start. I really want to be acknowledged as a man, but I don't like talking about my feelings and explaining myself to people. I don't want to really keep this a secret. If someone asks me why I dress like a boy, I'll tell them, but what's the best way to go about doing this?
Just say it matter of factly. You'll get different reactions from different people, but you have to be who you are. I find that if you say things confidently, most people just accept it and go on about their business.
If you want to be witty, try asking them what gender they are. Then ask them if that's what they want themselves to be, or what they are. Remind them that there is a difference between sex and gender.
