I just told my mom I am gay! I have been so scared because she has said intolerant things before, but she was asking tonight about my sexuality. I lied at first, but then told her and she said while she thinks everyone is bisexual, she was fine with me liking guys, other than worrying about my safety! I am just so happy and relieved and she even noticed this and gave me a big hug.

Similar things happened to me before I came out. My parents had said some intolerant things from time to time, which had me afraid to come out but I did anyway. I'm very glad I did, and I'm glad it worked out for you, as well! Congratulations!
