    So, I've been up all night thinking about this whole thing and how sick I am of this whole thing. I have lived a lie for too long, but I can't seem to make myself say it. So here's my idea. My mom is at her boyfriend's place right now. I'm gonna text her to say I need to talk to her when she gets home, and then I'll have no choice but to say the truth. I think it's the only half-dignified way I can bring myself to do this. I don't want to come out via text, so I'll just use text to force myself to come out. What do you guys think?

    Alrighty, I've typed this up on my phone and all I have to do is hit send:

    "Hey, mom. I'm really sorry if this text wakes you up, but it can't be helped, I'm afraid. I need to talk to you in PRIVATE when you get home. Before you ask, it's not about *personal details*; this has been a long time coming. I love you, and don't let me pussy out of telling you the truth."

    I know I'm all talk, but I really think I'm gonna do this. Any thoughts?

    Thanks, DB. I'm shaking and making coffee right now to be able to stay up, but I feel so relieved it's unbelievable. She will definitely accept me, she's one of the most pro-gay, anti-establishment, left wing people I know. I can't wait, and yet I dread it. Ain't this gonna be a blast?

    Yeah, I can't imagine what I'd be going through if my mom was homophobic. I totally feel for everyone who has to deal with that...

    Hah, thanks for that Dublin. A bike ride helped (not really much of a walker). Fresh air is nice from time to time.

    Well, that was totally great. I couldn't have hoped for a better outcome. I told her I'm gay, and we ate food from Starbucks. Man, I really over-reacted.
