So on thursday I recently got a boyfriend! He's pretty out in our school. I don't want to have to hide our relationship, so I'd like to come out in school soon. I don't think anyone suspects me as being gay, so how might I go about doing this? Here's my original story: http://emptyclosets.com/forum/coming-out-stories/103342-i-cant-believe.html
(!)(!)(!)(!)(!)(!)(!)(!)(!)(!)(!)(!)(!)(!)(!)(!)(!)(!)(!)(!)(!)(!)(!)(!)(!)(!)(!)(!)(!)(!)(!)(!)(!)(!)(!)(!)(!)(!)(!)(!)(!)(!)(!)(!)(!)(!)(!)(!)(!)(!)(!)(!)(!)(!)(!)(!)(!)(!)(!)(!)Great!
I would just start with close friends, then less close friends, if you're really daring put something on Facebook or something, and then you can ask people to tell others if you want, just my idea
Awesome! I'm happy for you:icon_bigg you should come out with close friends and work your way slowly. Doing it all at once could be bit much.
You don't have to tell everyone but might want to tell friends quickly before they hear about it or see the two of you holding hands or whatever. They might resent not being told first. Anyway, grats to you :icon_bigg
Congrats! Also, I agree that you should tell your close friends and gradually come out. It could be overwhelming to do it to everyone at once. Good luck!
When coming out, it is always best to start with the people you are fairly certain will accept you. Start with the easiest people and work your way up to the harder ones. That way, if the less-accepting people in your life don't accept you at first, you have a group of people who have got your back
Congrats, at age 15 to know for sure your gay and come out. Very brave to openly be gay in school. Wish you and your bf the best.
Congrats :icon_bigg and just start telling ur close friends first and the word will prefab ly get out, so after that only answer when people ask good luck
Apparently word has started to get out. Today at lunch I got asked a very carefully worded question. It went like this: "I heard that you have a... significant other in the 11th grade." I said yes. She nodded her head (kind of surprised) an then the kid next to me congratulated me. He thinks I got a girlfriend!
