Ok, so I recently came out to my mom. She took it surprisingly well, especially considering how sexuality was a forbidden topic in our conservative Southern Baptist household. She said her views have changed a bit, and she wants to try to understand "alternative" sexualities better. She went to the library and tried to find books, but said they were all geared towards parents with young teens, or for people who were trying to understand themselves. Does anyone have suggestions on books or websites that I can send her way? Nothing too graphic. Thanks!
PFLAG is supposed to be a good one. Their main site doesn't have much on it but they have many chapters, maybe even one close to you. Their chapters' sites have a lot more information on them. PFLAG Phoenix: For Parents of Gay Children -- Can We Understand?
Thank you JoshuaLovely. That's a good page, along with these by PFLAG (PFLAG: Parents, Families, & Friends of Lesbians and Gays). Couldn't find the page at first I thought they had removed them!
