So, I think I'm at a point in my life where I'm ready to start being openly gay. I'd like to change my 'interested in', but I've heard that it doesn't change much. I do have a friend who came out of on facebook, and it seemed effective, especially since they made a status talking about it. I'm worried that if I come out on facebook, that some of my really close friends would get upset that I didn't tell them directly. I don't think I should be letting that fear hold me back though.
When I came out on Facebook I made my teddy bears my cover photo in addition to changing my interested in status. There were mostly positive comments about the change.
