so i am thinking of coming out to my parents, and i am really worried about what they might say because they don't talk anything negative or positive (i mean they don't talk about them at all)!? any good stories?????? thanks!:icon_bigg
well if i mention it they quickly change the subject and talk about something else. and if they can help it they wont talk about it at all
would you be able to bring up something about lgbt people? its worked for me, i was talking to my mum about how some gay kid at school (me) got the school to try and fix the issue of homophobia there or you could try and bring up some news involving lgbt people or just make some thing up.
I have talked about a couple of my gay friends that i have, all she says is "ummmm" and then she changes the topic, so i haven't done it yet!
If it were me, I might bring up the shitty Utah governors marriage stripping ways in a discussion, and flat out ask their opinion. But then I'm kinda assertive like that.
Nice Idea! I just said to my mum, "Even the pope doesn't care if people are gay, he said if people are gay and seek God, who am i to judge?" Again she replied with "ummmm" This is soooo frustrating!
i think now, i might put on hold for a while, until my senior year of high school. Thanks for your help!
