Do you mean they don't talk about LGBTsexuality in a negative or positive way?

My parents are like that too, makes it awful hard to try and guess how they'll take the news.

would you be able to bring up something about lgbt people? its worked for me, i was talking to my mum about how some gay kid at school (me) got the school to try and fix the issue of homophobia there or you could try and bring up some news involving lgbt people or just make some thing up.

I have talked about a couple of my gay friends that i have, all she says is "ummmm" and then she changes the topic, so i haven't done it yet!

If it were me, I might bring up the shitty Utah governors marriage stripping ways in a discussion, and flat out ask their opinion. But then I'm kinda assertive like that.

Nice Idea! I just said to my mum, "Even the pope doesn't care if people are gay, he said if people are gay and seek God, who am i to judge?" Again she replied with "ummmm"
    This is soooo frustrating!

I've been drafting a letter to my parents. Have you thought about writing a letter.
