I really want to come out to my church group, but every time that I think about how to, some part of me always gets jittery and afraid:eek:. I know my church group will support me and be there for me so i don't know why i get so nervous thinking about it.
Why is coming out so hard, even when you know you can trust them? :help:

    Two words.

    WHAT. IF.

That's what makes it hard. The unknown. The people we KNOW are going to take it badly aren't HALF as scary as the ones who do so unexpectedly.

There's something very FINAL about it all. There's no backsies once you come out to somebody, and we often worry that people will view us differently (even if they're supportive) once we've taken that step.
