How old were u when u came out

1. First person I came out to (officially) was my best friend, she took it really well although she did admit she already kinda knew.
2. I was 20... (although i know now I should have done it sooner)
3. So that will make it nearly a year.

 

I first came out to one of my friends, it wasn't like we were in a group of friends so i knew she wouldn't tell anyone. She was awesome about it, said it was really cool and I can talk about anything with her, the problems and the great stuff.

done that about a year and a half ago, she is one of the only people that knows, a few other select friends and a few random people that found out becuase of a backstabbing friend know but I havn't told many people, so I'm not completely out, I'm still scared to tell my parents

1. Came out last year to my friends, and this year to my family (not even a week ago). My friends were like, "Woah," and were fine with it, and my parents were like, "We love you and accept you and you're still our daughter... but you better have kids someday because we want grandchildren..."

Well I first came out to my crush after he gave me mixed signals and I wanted to see how he reacted to see if he liked me too, he didn't unfortunately but we're still really good friends.

I was 14 when I came out to him, then I slowly started to come out to more and more people until I eventually told my mum and step dad, now I'm out openly at school but not my Dad, he's got quite a 'traditional' outlook on things.

I'm 16 now, I've known I was gay since I was 9, so I've known for 7 years and have accepted myself relatively quickly in terms of some other people.

I'm very happy now, I just wish my crush would like me back aha

First time I came out I was 17 in 1990, I came out to my best friend at the university. We began a relationship when I turned 18 about a month later. After 8 months, I came out to my parents; they freaked and threatened to cut off my education funding and disown me. I panicked, broke up with my boyfriend as they demanded and locked myself back into my closet for the next 22 years. Last summer I went into emotional freefall, I'm now 41 married and two young children. Last summer I came out (again) to a few close friends and am working on myself to figure out if I'm ready to be honest with my wife.

 

1. One of my best friends, whom I'd known for four years. She had a really positive reaction, and was happy that I finally managed to tell her. It surprised me a little bit, I figured she would have been a little freaked out at first.
2. At the time, I was 14. I didn't come out to my parents until a couple months later though, and was 15 by then.
3. A little over a year by now.

 

1. As odd as it seems, it was my teacher/boss, who's a really close friend of mine. He's an orchestra conductor and I'm practically his life assistant, so we're super close. He was surprised, but totally accepted me and was honored that he was the first I shared it with.

I came out to myself late last year. But I'm not really out-out yet.

It was last August.. after my mom's birthday party And it was about 2 weeks before my 18 birthday. I came out just to my grandmother as I was really mad at her.. and after some days (?) she told my mother..

 

1) I first came out to my closest female friend during a "movie date". Her reaction was extremely supportive. She told me that I could talk to her or cry on her shoulder whenever I needed to. It made me feel so much better about myself. Now she just smiles at me when I check a guy out in public. :icon_redf

2) I came to terms with my sexuality and started coming out at 17.

3) I actually only started coming out three weeks ago exactly.

 

1) My mom. I blurted it out in the middle of a panic attack, it didn't go over well. Though she's come around and even met my boyfriend last weekend.

2) I was 18, and a freshman in college.

3) It was a little over two years ago, but I started coming out to more people in Oct 2012, right before I turned 19

 

1.) I came out to my best friend ( who proceeded to come out as bi casually ) and we continued our conversation as if that never happened which looking back was pretty funny
