Okay, first of all, I know my family will be fine with me coming out, but what I'm most afraid of is what would happen if they let others know. I currently live in Utah, which is a very religious state and I've heard many a story of people being sent hate mail for one thing or another; and most the time it's being sent for no adequate reason. I don't want that to happen to my family, and I honestly don't know what the reactions of my friends would be. I was planning on telling my family during summer when it would be less likely to get around, but then there is the internet as well which can get anything anywhere. And should I wait until after high school to be completely out? I have some really bad depression as it is, and I really don't want this to make things worse. Any advice is greatly appreciated.
