I'm really happy for you that you managed to get a date with him.
Is this an "official" date or just friends thing.
Whatever you do don't try to be someone your not.
Just be yourself and you'll be fine.
As for what to wear, I really don't know how you like your wardrobe so I can't say.

 

I agree, definitely don't be someone you're not, even if it is just a friends thing.

And remember, if you be yourself and he doesn't appreciate that, he doesn't deserve you

But I'm sure everything will be fine, wear whatever you like (I'd draw the line at chicken costumes though )

Wear something that's pretty normal for you, but a little special. Don't go over the top. Wear something you'd happily wear any day of the week, but maybe with an extra twist. Going too over the top might freak him out, so just be yourself.

hey, congrats. i don't really have much advice to add though... just be yourself and dress pretty much as you normally would, tweaked a bit to fit with wherever you're going. hope everything goes well!

Haha did the same thing with my friend (not a date) last week at the Americana in Glendale

 

That sounds like a really good date. I'm sorry he wasn't your type but it's good that you realised and accepted that now, and can hopefully become friends. Plus it's good practice for the next date, which could be with your perfect guy.
