It's not really coming out because they already know that I'm trans*, but I would really like for my friends to change my pronouns to he/him/his and start using my preferred name. I'm not really sure how to approach this with them or how to actually say it, but it would definitely help how I've been feeling lately.

If anyone can give me any advice or if you've already done this, how did you say it?

    Thanks

What I said to my friends was "Could you try calling me Holly for a bit and using female pronouns" then at the end of the evening I said "Now could you do that forever".

I think it helped to give them that practice time.

The only place I've come out was to online friends in a couple of different sites, so that's all I have to go on. On one of the sites, my best friend is also trans*, and he just asked and has (with one slip-up) stuck to that. And the one person who wasn't there switched pronouns automatically when I told him. On the other site, it was a little more tricky. But after all the talk about me being trans*, she finally called me "he" once, and I told her I liked that. She's stuck with it ever since. I don't know if my experience helps any, but it could be a good idea to just ask them to switch. Good luck!
