The only thing I'm pretty sure the Bible says is that Jesus loves me. And I only know that much because of that song.

Proud's got the right verse, but it's part of Leviticus, which is a long series of rituals dealing mainly with "purity". They're a bit heavy on the "unclean" thing. There were further rituals to "cleanse" your impurity so you'd be safe to go back to the temple (to be in the "presence of God"). I don't know if that means don't jack off just before church, but that's probably a good guideline anyway.

What the bible says about "spilling your seed" was written in a time when it was thought that the man's sperm WAS the baby, and that the woman just "held" the baby to grow. So therefore, any sex that wasn't man-woman was a waste of a good baby! Now we know better.

 

Yeah, a lot of the Bible needs to be taken in context and WAAAAAAAAY too many people take it out of cultural, periodical, historic, and metaphorical context.

I don't really believe what the bible says so.....

I say live a good life, be the best person you can be, don't kill, don't intentionally hurt someone just basically be as good of a person as you can and don't worry about anything else.

But I have no problem with anybody who believes differently I'm just sorry I can't help you find the info you are looking for. The last time I hoped the bible was when I was probably about 15 yrs old
