'Are you gay?'

    Hi everyone, I'm newly registered but I've been swimming in this forum a long long time, and I need help regarding this coming out business.

    I knew that I was somewhat different from other guys since perhaps 2 or 3 years ago but it never occurred to me.. or that I never gave more than half a wild thought that I could be gay till 2 months ago. I watched a video on youtube about a gay couple which made me break down and that was when I realised that perhaps I'm gay. I haven't had a real crush on any1 at all but I feel a greater attraction towards guys and I can't imagine even having a passionate kiss with a girl.

    Anyway I'm convinced that I am gay (correct me if I'm wrong) and i've recently started to talk a lot about LGBT with my friends. I'm worried that one day the question might just drop by... And i definitely don't wanna say no, but i don't wanna say yes either (maybe now's not the time). Any suggestions? :icon_sad::eusa_doh:

    They're quite chill with it.. U know being weird kids our age we talk about sex pretty casually.. and recently there was some news about anti-gay sentiments, so I just brought it up and they said they were neutral about lgbt, so I tried to get more of their opinions on lgbt and they're not exactly supportive but they're not homophobic either... Thanks for responding :slight_smile:

    On the surface, the younger generation's rather accepting, sometimes to the extent of not tolerating anti-lgbt sentiments, but things do get different if ur friend is gay, idk. I wanna avoid the awkward situations as much as possible, yet not lie about my sexuality..

    oh there actually fine with it really, i mostly have straight girls and other gay guys as friends though and the straight guys that know are fine with it really, i was quite surprised i guess
