I read somewhere--maybe here--that it might be helpful in moving from acknowledgement to acceptance to explore and enjoy LGBT art in its various forms (music, lit, visual and performing arts). I'd love recommendations. Thanks in advance.

'LGBT' music/art etc is a very, very vague term. There are queer artists whose work doesn't necessarily deal with queer issues but just happen to be gay and there's art that's explicitly gay.

For starters, you should look up stuff like Queer music oor list of gay themed movies on wikipedia, there are long, long lists

It's hard to say what to recommend without knowing what your tastes are. I mean I'm a huge fan of flamboyant stuff and I love stuff like 70's glam rock (David Bowie, Loud Reed etc) that's very gay.

It would also be helpful to know how old you are so that I can recommend movies etc

Demi lovato's 'I don't care' is a good song I like it anyway.
