Came out to a friend... big mistake

    Told him I was bi. All he said is "homosexuality is f*cking disgusting". And he just walked away. I was THIS close to beating the living crap out of him. What do I do now?

    That completely sucks. First off, he's not really your friend if he acts that way when you're telling him something really personal like that. Judging by your Out Status, you've got friends you've come out to, stick with them, forget about him, your true friends are the ones that support you no matter what.

    I'm not out personally, but I've heard those horrid things come from the mouths of my friends and family not knowing that I'm gay and it hurt a lot knowing they wouldn't accept me if they knew.

    Pick up the pieces, and move on. It may not be pleasent but it is the only thing you can do.

    I am sorry, it is never pleasant to know you misjudged somebody that way but understand it isn't your failing it is his.

    Thanks guys. I'm done with that prick, all he did today was complain about homosexuality to his friends as loudly as possible in the hallways when I was around. What a dick.

    I had a friend like that. He acted like the world's biggest homophobe but turned out to be gay. But that's not always the case and the percentage who aren't like that are just dicks.
