Coming out over FB to lesbian half-sister a long distance from me

    She is obviously very pro-gay rights and on the heels of posting the news that NC's gay marriage ban is being lifted, I really want to tell her I'm bisexual.

    My only hangup is, is there ever an appropriate time? Messaging her on FB and telling her my feelings will go over just fine I'm sure, but it feels so... random. Maybe because she's les she'll understand my hesitation. Should I just do it?

    I think you should do it. It might be a little random, but I doubt that's what will be at the forefront of her mind. She'll probably just be glad that you told her.

    I sent it. Still quivering from nerves for some reason and not really looking forward to her response, even though it'll absolutely be positive.

    Just not used to coming out to people yet. Argh! lol.

    I think just go for it, it might feel weird and awkward to come out, but Seeing as she is a lesbian, I think it all but guarantees that she will be supportive of you.
