    Hi. I'm 13 and bisexual.
My school librarian is like a second mom to me. I tell her almost everything. She is very supportive of the LGBT community and several of my friends have come out to her. I think that it's time to come out to her. I am most likely going to write her a letter and put it on her desk, but I don't know what to say in the letter. Does anyone have any suggestions?
    Thanks in advance

I would write about how this has impacted you, how much you trust her, and mention that you're telling her because she makes you feel safe. Thank her for being there for you, and tell her that you appreciate her support.

    hi! also 13 here!
so i came out to my schools counselor by simply asking for advice on coming out.
If she's supportive tell her how much you trust her. I would also ask her for support when you do come out to others.

Hi there! Maybe think about why you would like her to know, which could help you in starting to write the letter.

You know that you trust her, that she is supportive, and that she is always there for you. Three things you could include in the letter.

Hey! Im hoping it goes wel for you. I just recently told my librarian/reading and lang. Arts teacher in asignment. Shes my inspiration to write. But she is really reigios. Her reaction wasnt great, but it was okay. She said that she didnt support my choice :slight_smile:bang: not a choice, but i wasnt going to backtalk to her) but that she ws glad i am prud of myself. but anyway, just let her know how much you care about and trust her, y u decided to tell her, and that you feel confident and proud of herself. Theres no reason that shell be unaccepting to you, unless shes a total hypocrite, which i dont think she is. Good luck.
(I apolgize for any errors in here)

I talked to my best friend about it. He suggested telling her in person. I will leave a note on her desk saying "I need to talk to you tomorrow" on her desk after school on Tuesday and then come out to her on Wednesday morning most likely.

She was actually at her desk (not expected) so I just set it down, gave her a hug and walked off. We'll talk tomorrow during 1st hour (8:35-9:00 CST). So we'll see how it goes.

I'm sure it will all be okay, and you're extremely brave for doing this.

I'm sorry. Maybe she just wants to talk to you privately about it?

It was a communication error. I thought she was too busy to talk and she thought I didn't want to talk.
