So to put it bluntly I use some tumblr blogs to update my wank bank, my iPad (what I normally use) was getting repaired so I used my mums iPhone (stupid I know) but I delated the internet history. Cut to today when I try to go back on said tumblr blog I got a message saying it had been blocked due to parental controls, now I've started shitting myself over the fact my parents may know and may have found out in the worst way possible. So should I just be straight with them or should I just hope this is some other thing?
What the hell is a wank bank? Could be some automatic parental control buggering, but you never know. Any specific reason -not- to be straight (<- Haha!) with them?
Hmm, though if you did delete the iPhone's internet history, I'm not sure how they could have found out. I presume you went to general/safari/Clear History and Website Data. That should be all you needed to do. Could there be some other reason the parental controls have locked you down? I don't know too much about Parental Control programs, but could it have been an automatic block by an update to the software/block list?
It's blocked across our wifi system so I doubt it's just my mums phone as for how the parental controls work I havnt got the foggiest
If you live in Essex in the UK, then I'd say that it's probably BT's automatic filtering system. Perhaps the, uh, blog, you were visiting got added to their filter list (I imagine it's updating all the time) and it got automatically blocked.

Has there been any noticeable change in their attitude towards you? If not, I'd say you are okay. The UK government has asked internet/telecom service providers to restrict automatic access to porn sites/blogs etc., so it could indeed be a filtering issue, like Spartan 117 mentioned.
They don't per se, but the Government does want an automatic filter on adult material that you would have to 'opt out' of if you wanted continued access. They've hit some snags though, so I'm not sure how viable that's going to be. BT (the leading Internet provider here) do provide a similar service for their parental controls already, which I believe That One Guy fell victim to.

Wank banks aren't just limited to teenagers. I hand write mine though and then go into incognito mode. I live alone though, so don't try that at home with mom and dad.
On a more serious note ... if you feel like you're ready to come out, this is as good an excuse as any.
