I am seriously contemplating embarking on fame (wish me luck lool) but one thing that crosses my mind is that if I ever do become famous and openly gay, I'd be suddenly out to most of my extended family, who all live back home in Ghana, Africa. They watch TV there and they have internet, but they're still traditional and conservative. Would it impact their lives back home? Would they be known as "that family with an openly gay famous extended family member?" I hope that wouldn't put down our extended family name for them and they resent me or anything. ' Does anyone have any extended family who lives in a mostly homophobic country that knows your sexual orientation or gender identity?
