Sterotypical?

Because a lot of people believe that gay men in general are promiscuous and always love to go out to gay bars to dance, drink a lot of alcohol, and have unprotected sex with as many men as possible. It's probably stereotypical to think that the girl is the only thing holding a guy back from having casual sex with lots of people, and that when you're gay, you don't have that kind of regulation on you. But the promiscuous thing more likely stems from Bible-based beliefs that someone who is accepting of one's "sin" leads to a loss of all morality, thus not caring about having a steady relationship with one person.

As for the smoking, I have no clue. Perhaps they think that since the promiscuous life is a sad and unfufilling one, the cigarette represents the stress from which they're trying to weigh off? I don't know.

I think basically what's already been said. Most people think gay men are very promiscuous and go to bars to meet other gay men. Some may do that, but I don't think the majority does.

 

I take it you mean will your voice sound very camp?? well if it doesnt now, then it shouldnt do when it breaks. You might just have to wait and see. There are a some people who do fit the stereotypical view of a gay man but the majority of people dont.

Maybe it's because there's a disproportionate amount of gay porn
As in I think there's something like 50% of porn is gay and 50% is straight
And considering that only 1.2% of people are gay and 1.15% bisexual* that is quite a lot of porn haha

And lots of people think that porn is like the real world....in which case girls wear high heels to bed lol

Uhm I don't know, I guess in my opinion once you're out it would be more fun as in more choice lol

But I think to come out it's probably easier because you're only half in the closet to start with
But also people sometimes forget that people can be bisexual and that people are just gay or straight. It's like no lol

I think the media has a heavy infuence on the way gay men (more then other orientations) are percieved.

Perhaps not so much now but in the past when it was less commonly accepted, there were a lot of slurrs snd references to that kind of lifestyle through the media.
