    dont try and rush yourself
and dont trust everyone if you dont want everyone knowing
its best to just tell your closest friends who you trust first
and talk to you parents on how they feel with the situation

I wouldn't tell your mate you fancy him, but if You want to just come out to him then you should

Telling your school counselor should come first. If you find it easier, write it out and hand it to him.

And no, you shouldn't tell your best mate that you fancy him. Unless you're tired of him being your best mate.

I would agree... to a point. If you're not out to him at all, then telling him you're crushing on him has "Bad Idea" written all over it. But, once you're open and you know the friendship is solid and everything, it's not the worst idea ever. I mean, my very straight roommate/best friend knows I'd totally have my way with him if he were gay.
