I've made plans to come out to my mom today. Figured it'd be a fitting time (birthday). I haven't totally found myself out yet, but I'll either tell her that I'm not interested in girls as much, or that I'm just gay (for simplicity's sake). Does anybody have a funny way of doing it? I think I'd be able to say it easier if I act that way about it.
Hey Welcome to EC!! funny way of coming out? Not so sure because few people consider that to be funny. Light-hearted to low-key perhaps, you know, no big production, just "hey mom sit down for a minute I need to talk" might be OK. Remember this is a pretty serious revelation to parents, especially if they don't suspect or already know. And, sorry, but all parents don't reply with "We already knew that" So, take it easy and look for the right moment! Good Luck!!! .....David
