Okay, so I am a lesbian and I've been dating this amazing girl for more than a year now. She just asked me to prom. The problem is that I'm not out of the closet to my parents yet.. I know that I need to start looking for dresses because prom is in three short months. I guess what I'm saying is that I need advice on how to tell my parents that I want to go to prom with a girl.
Just tell them that no boy has invited you, so instead of missing it, you are just going to go with a friend who doesn't have a date either.
