I was recently introduced to a Pansexual friend of a friend. And it got me wondering if that maybe was me. I have always coined it bisexual, because i couldn't think of a better word. But honestly, I don't look at gender as how i'm sexually attracted to people. It's always about who they are. I would be fine if my boyfriend/girlfriend told me they were trans!

Does that make me Pansexual or just a very open Bi?

I don't think it matters much which label you use, so much as how you understand your feelings and who you'd date or not date. "Bisexual" is the more familiar and convenient label that you can use with people, but if you feel inside that you could fall in love with intersex, intergender, transgender, genderqueer, and agender people, then I guess "pansexual" would be a better technical term to use.

I have a sister whose feelings are similar to yours - that she could potentially fall in love with any gender, and would thus be technically "pansexual" - but she just calls herself "bi" anyway, probably out of convenience.

Its not weird! I'm pan. I was in the same spot as you. Heard the term and started questioning it because I'd always thought it was just bi. I think bi is just the cover all term for things like pansexual and omnisexual and whatnot. Most people don't understand the term pansexual though, so unless you're wanting to explain every time what it means, you may just want to tell them youre bi. But that's if you want to label yourself. Hey, us pans are sweet cuz we have way more choices then people who are totally straight, gay, or bi. lol.

Its where you're not attracted to a person because of their gender, its because of their personality. So not only are girls and guys attractive but also FTM's and MTF's. It all depends on the person's personality, not gender.

I dig the vibe. But I do consider trans a bit of a turn-off. Just not my thing.

I guess I'm bi, almost pansexual.

I think Pans are amazing! I kinda consider myself one, but it's too big of an explaination to most. Bi is just easier. I think I'm just shy-sexual. I would like anyone based on personality, but they gotta make the first move. Trans, male, or female. I have the potential to love anyone. People rock!

The label isn't really important. You could probably call me pansexual or omnisexual, but i don't dwell on it much. I like girls, guys, transgendered people don't bother me and I could see myself falling in love with one. Doesn't really matter, so long as there's love.

Sounds confusing glad I'm just gay! lol jk, but seriously it sounds like it would be nice to be able to want someone based only on their personality.
