Why do people assume I'm bi when I say I'm not straight?

It's super annoying for me. Mainly because I'd rather be with a girl. I don't want to deal with stupid straight guys who get turned on by queer girls. I wish I could just call myself gay. Too bad I have HOCD.

    Hi!
I would say that if you don't want to deal with idiots who know nothing about your HOCD then if it can be helped, don't be around them.
There are lots of support groups online (I guess including EC) that are specificly made for those with HOCD. And you might also look into seeing if there is a GSA in your area (or start one) or seeing a LGBT friendly counsilor if you haven't already.

I tend to believe it's because people like labels and categorizing things. Perhaps correct them and say that a better label would be "queer" rather than "bi"? Or say that you don't like the label "bi" and would rather not be called as such.
