    I can imagine that you must be worried. But hopefully it will turn out alright for you. Have they laid off people that you were close to?

    Only one person that I was kinda close to. And I feel especially bad for him, because he's older and doesn't have a lot of prospects.

    I'm not going to work on the resume until I figure out where else I might go. I'll have to figure out which direction to go.

    Hopefully you can stay in contact with him. Yes, take a few days to think about in which direction you want to go. Things have always a way of working out.

    Ugh....the economy sucks right now. I've lost one child in my daycare. Another one is likely to leave soon and there is absolutely no phone calls coming in.

    I just talked to my brother. His company is laying off people tomorrow. he said he has been told his job is safe for now.

    On a serious note; that REALLY sucks.
    But on a lighter note, at least you'll have more time to spread your Gargoyley knowledge to us silly helpless kiddies! : )

    I suck at trying to say things to make something better so hopefully I didn't screw up. Lol.

    Ever considered being like a therapist or something??

    Yes, "to be laid off" means "to be fired"

    I was laid off last week :-( Maybe we can hug each other..
