Hello, I've been wanting to tell my parents that I'm genderfluid with a folder of what it means, but I need some other things I could include (ex: FAQ, my letter, etc).
    Thanks. (!)

Well, I knew my mom would be accepting... still the butterflies though, since I didn't know how well she'd accept me, and I've been disappointed a fair few times.
I'm still glad I did it though, and of course I recommend you to do it
Well you could either give them the hard facts, or otherwise you could just explain how you feel. Telling them you're trans* at all is a good idea (if you do identify as such...) or you can just say 'genderfluid' as well, to impress upon them that it's something... real in lack of a better word, rather than just something fleeting...

if you've more questions, fire away

    good luck!

    hugs

Pretty much what Triflow said. The most important thing is explaining. Maybe even send them a link to an article on trans(*) stuff. Some people don't believe that genderfluid people exist. Just refer them to a study proving that it does exist.

fairly tired of people having to be labeled based on their sexuality.
cant we just be people first?

Err, what? This is about gender identity. And while I would agree, this is not the place to post that. This is nothing about labels. It is about coming out. Dianox doesn't even have a label for their sexuality, yet. (Sorry if the pronoun is wrong, there. I assume that you would like gender-neutral ones, as you haven't specified otherwise.) So that post was useless here.

if we didnt lable everyone based on sexuality or as you refer to it, gender identity, then there would be no need to come out. you could just be who you are and those around would accept it.
If you are ever around me, there is no need to define yourself in any way, just be who you are and if we get along we get along, if not, nothing personal.

Just stop, okay, I get what you're saying, but you're not even getting the terms right.
Sexuality and gender have nothing inherently to do with each other. Just stop and get on with it.

But if you'd allow me to extract the sentiment of value in this post:
    Feelings are what matters.
    As I stated before.

Labels are mostly for yourself a lot of the time. If you want one because that's fun, go for it. And remember, it's labels in terms of how you feel, not how you feel in terms of labels.

And Sirius is my fav char in HP
