Hi! I'm not out yet but I have been doing research on ways to tell my parents that I'm transgender and I found one article saying "drop hints to see how they react" and I'm wondering how I should "pre-introduce" myself.
I already saw her read the Leelah Alcorn article but I'm not exactly sure how she reacted...

    Please help!

Ask about how they feel about issues AFTER bringing up transgender related issues. Good luck!

I would suggest just sitting down and talking to them. Although dropping hints may help you gauge how they may react, in my experience, it caused me more stress than just simply telling my parents how I felt (I'm transgender too). Also, from the posts I've read here, you have a loving community that will support you as much as possible! (*hug*)
