I believe I have finally decided on the way I'm going to be coming out to my parents. I've thought about this for months on end, have taken advice from many people on this forum and have came to a conclusion. I've decided to tell my mum after school when we first get into the house. I've decided to do this, this month. I am going to walk into the house and ask to have a word with her. From then I well tell her "I've been thinking about this for a long time, I am not sure if this will change but for now this is who I am. I am gay" I believe her reaction will be good and she'll be supportive. I've decided to leave room for change down the line by telling her 'this is who I am now' and 'this might change' when I tell her. Especially due to the fact I am very young and it may very well change down the line. I am not worried about her saying anything such as "But your too young" or "Your too young to know for sure" therefore I left room for change. What are your thoughts and opinions on the idea? As long as you don't do what I did, you'll be fine! What I did: Called my mum into my room in the middle of the night, put on the coming out song on YouTube whilst hiding under bed covers crying and refusing to talk at all.
Sounds like a good thought out plan. It's so nice to hear of someone so young being able to be true to yourself and not be afraid. I've waiting 46 years before I'm starting to come out and accept myself and I wish I could have done the same as you're attempting to do. Keep us informed on how it goes-best of luck!!!
