And it went better than expected! :icon_bigg There are only a few people I haven't told, such as my slightly homophobic grand-parents... But I came out as bi to most of the major people in my life, my mom and dad, my best friend, and even my (male) crush! I've been feeling a lot more confident since then, and it's nice to have real life friends and family to talk to... Now my mom wants to set me up with a girlfriend! My dad said he had a feeling, whatever he meant by that. He's been really supportive. I was worried telling my crush would make him lose interest in me, but we've been a lot closer since then. <3 So... Hopefully this will be encouraging to those of you wanting to come out. Just remember to be careful who you tell, and don't rush things if you aren't ready! (*hug*)
You can also tell people nothing is absolute. I call it explore and discover and not so much pre label. Good job on talking to your dad.
That's a good point. I think saying I'm bi though is pretty safe, because I can end up with either a man or a woman. So even if I discover I prefer one over the other (which I don't think I do), I won't need to really explain things a second time.
