Well I have been overseas for an entire year now and it has flown by! I am sitting here in Hong Kong airport with 4 hours to kill and it got me thinking about what I am going to say to my friends tomorrow. I plan on just being flat out honest telling them firstly a little background and then spell it out to them in plain english. Only a few of them know but i plan to tell the wider (but still very close) group. They are all meeting me at the airport tomorrow to welcome me back and then taking me back for a few drinks at my friends house. I'm just more looking for support than anything else because the last two or three people I was supposed to tell I chickened out and I may never see them again. I just hope they are as supportive as my sisters and my best friend. Wish me luck
I hope it goes well for you. When you do talk with them, try to remain calm and just tell them what you told your best friend. Let us know how it turns out.
If it helps, tell them you have something important to discuss when you see them. If you back yourself into a corner before your face-to-face with someone while your feeling good about it, it can help stop you from chickening out when it gets scary! ...above all good luck! (!)
