I came out to my mom a few minutes ago (I texted her). It went very well. She was extremely accepting of it although I still feel awkward towards her. I'm still going to keep some space for today, but it went very well.
Congratulations! I remember how hard it was when I finally came out about being both bisexual and OS. It always stings for the first few days afterwards, even if the one you are first coming out to is accepting of it, but then you're able to surpass that stinging feeling and feel much better about yourself for having done so. Good luck with the rest of your wonderful new life in the community! (!)
Awesome! Super brave at 13 years old. It's bound to be a bit weird for a little while but I'm really glad it went well for you!
My mom and I were talking and she almost started crying, not because I'm gay, because she was stressed that people would bully me and my path would be harder than other people's paths.
Truly neat news and a brave decision by you. It will be fun to hear of your experiences, trials and tribulation. When I was 13 back in 1887 I had no idea same sex attraction existed nor did I know "special" words existed for it. When I was 15 I saw this kid get beat up with people calling him gay. I didn't have a clue what was going on. But that taught me that gay must be bad.....yep because he was getting beat up.
