As some of you may know, I am hoping on openly coming out soon, and I was was wondering what to expect and what to be prepared for IF i do come out (still nervous about it XD)
i came out to my close friends and the only difference is that they're okay if i'm not as excited about boys as them and that they constantly make straight jokes/puns around me. it's quite liberating and nice if the community around you aren't queerphobic. best of luck!
after i came out and then word got round at work and my social life it was fine really i get the banter now and then but it has never bothered me at all really, like Fairylocal said its very liberating i felt i could spend more time working on myself afterwards then trying to keep it a secret
I don't have to feel like I'm hiding anything or that I can't be myself around my friends. And I can talk about my bf because our relationship is an important part of my life.
