I'm not anywhere near the stage of coming out about my gender, but I'm wondering that when I do or if a situation arises where I have to explain myself, if there are any resources/pamphlets online, or books maybe, that I can use and show friends/family.

I myself find it very hard to explain gender and gender struggles/identification to people and I don't think I can do a perfect job of articulating it. It'd be great if there is something out there that can explain things more clearly that I can use.

    Thank you!

I don't know if she's used it but I sent my mom to the friends/family of LGBT board on here. other than that I don't know the only other way I can think of I get to a counselor that specializes in LGBT issues. Hope this helped. Good luck. (*hug*)

I think UppercaseChase1 on youtube has a series for parents actually on his channel about dealing with issues related to transition and because he's trans it's not like "The XX Chromosomes, how it shines like a trinket, but wait, there is one led astray" pamphlets from bible camp online.

Hi there! In addition to the PFLAG Canada resource (which is quite good), there is also a PDF resource, Our Sons and Daughters, created by PFLAG in the United States. It is a general explanation about coming out and provides information on sexual orientation and gender identity. It might be a good starting point for friends and/or family as well.

If you would like, let us know your general location (or feel free to PM me), and we might be able to provide you with information on a couple of local/regional available resources.

Thanks everyone for the replies! Once again it really means a lot. I will look into the Youtube channel and the guides/PDFs and keep them in mind. And Mirko- thank you for the offer, I'll PM you about it
