I started dating my best friend last week and we're both in agreement that we don't want to keep our relationship a secret. The problem is that I'm not out to my family and I don't know if I should just drop it on them that I'm not straight and I'm dating my friend, or if I should tell them I'm pan and then break the boyfriend news. Also would it be better to tell them myself or have my boyfriend there when I do it. They've known him for a few years but until now we've just been friends so I don't know how they'll react to us dating.
