I told my family I'm gender fluid and they freaked out and said it's a "faze" and I'm "going too fast." After that I stopped identifying as gender fluid. The thing is: I have these fazes where I'm a boy. So, usually I'm a girl.

I like makeup, I have my hair longish (not really) and I wear lots of pink clothing and I feel like I AM A GIRL.

Then I fazes where I'm a boy. I just FEEL like I'm a boy. I just KNOW I'm a boy. I can't explain it. I just know! And when that happens...I dress like a boy, I wear an orange hat, and I act more like a boy. (Oh yes and I hate my girly name)

So when that happens...I'm still a GIRL to my family. It's...weird. But I don't know how to come out to my family about it. How do you tell your family your sometimes a boy and other times a girl??

At this point I would just emphasize the fact that you are gender fluid and that when they thought it was a phase they thought wrong. You should also add on please respect my wishes and ask me what I want to be called.

Based on your post it doesn't sound dangerous for you to ask for some respect from your parents. I think the easiest way to go about this would just make sure to constantly remind them of who you are.

That's just my opinion though. Anyway I hope I helped! Good luck friend!

Maybe you could tell them that you do go through phases where sometimes you are a girl, and other times you are a boy - but both phases are real and shouldn't be ignored.
