Hi, A bit of background on me. I'm in my mid-30s, male, and realized that I was gay late last year. I have come out to 1 friend so far and that's it, although I plan on telling others in my life, including family, very soon. That said, I was recently offered to transfer halfway across the country for my work. I initially said no, but I am seriously considering it now. Has anyone on here moved at the time of or just after coming out? If so, what was it like? In a way, I find it very appealing since I wouldn't know anyone there, and I could just assume a gay identity right off the bat very comfortably. On the other hand, starting out socially in a new city again sounds daunting. Also, both where I live now and where I would move to are generally gay friendly, so that's not a factor.
