hey guys im new to EC but so far i love it.. i been reading some threads and you all seem like really cool, fun, smart people.:eusa_danc. so only a few of my friends know that im gay ( not in cluding my best friend ), and i really hate hiding who i am and pretending to be someone im not but i dont know how everyone would take to me coming out. and i dont know if it will make it weird for the few stright guys that i hang out around( there is only a few most are girls =) and advice would be great thanks
Welcome to EC! You'll find a lot of us in your situation, trying to figure it all out. The good news is you have some friends to confide in.
First, welcome to EC! Just about everyone here has been in the same situation as you at some point, so I'm sure you'll get heaps of different perspectives here. I'd suggest that you test the waters with your other friends first - occasionally talk about a gay celebrity, or if someone says something like "that's so gay" make a face and answer with "I wish people wouldn't say that". If you can get an idea of how they feel about homosexuality, you'll have more of an idea about how they'll respond to you coming out. How old are you, by the way?

Velcomes to ze poofta capeetal of zee interveb! Is your friend religious? Do you think that you're too close to have the possibility of losing her even if it's a slim one? EC is definitely the most awesomness place to be.
lol no shes not religious...shes just kinda like she will either be really eccepting and excited or the comlete opposite and i dont wanna lose her a a friend over something like that. i personally think its a stupid thing to ruin a friend ship over but i dont know how others think
