I'm pretty sure I'm ready to come out to my parents. I'm already out to some close friends, so I know I have support, and I'm comfortable with myself. I'm tired of hiding who I am. The only problem is a good specific time to come out. I don't want to do it while my parents are stressed or tired and I keep putting it off waiting for the PERFECT time to have the talk. Any thoughts on the best timing for breaking the news?

Maybe you could preposition the 'coming out' by suggesting that you go out for lunch as a family or plan a family meal at home telling them that you want to book time because you want to discuss something important. Obviously the exact words and scenario will depend on your personal situation but if you don't make a good time it is unlikely that the right time will just happen by itself.
