Came out to my straight friends after 20 plus years

I'm 28 years old and I've known I was gay since I was 11. After years of living a lie I came out by accident after some drinks. My best friend has known for a couple years but my two other close friends have not. Now they know and it feels good to get it off my chest. They have been ok so far but they are all straight males so I think there is a good chance they are going to be a little uncomfortable. I live with my best friend who has already known and the other friend I just told so I can finally start dating maybe. It's been so lonely lately and now I may actually be able to start my life.

Now I just have to tell my mom and sisters, which after this doesn't sound to bad. It's been a long road and I'm not going to say i'm not scared to death but maybe just maybe I can begin to start living. I know this day and age is the best time in recent memory to be gay but I'm still scared. This is really going to be an adventure but I think I'm going to finally be able to be happy.

 

This is the start of new life really for me. Don't know here it's going to take me. I'm hoping everyone responds ok, i live in a pretty conservative area I think it will be ok though. Just excited at actually being able to date.
