I'm at the end of 9th grade currently. I've known since the beginning of 6th grade. I came out to a close friend in the middle of 8th grade. I publicly came out at school at the beginning of 9th grade, and I told my family in the middle of 9th grade.

It definitely takes time to become comfortable enough with yourself to come out. Come out when you want to, and at a safe place. Much love (*hug*)

Well I knew something was different before puberty. Like 9 or 10. Once I started realizing I wanted to see guys my age naked I didn't recognize it. About age 12 I knew I liked guys and by 13i considered being intimate. But I suppressed it. Once known for over 20 years. Makes me feel old.

So about 22 years of hellish repression.

It took me about 3 months came out to a spiritual aunt, friend then to the straight girl i was crushing on. She told her mom who told the elders of my congregation who then met with me and my mom, i hadn't really planned on telling her, not for quite a ehile anyway

I realised I was gay when I was 14, then I came out to my mum two days before I turned 18, so it took me almost 4 years. With my sisters and the rest of the family it'll likely be when I'm 21-23.

I've liked dudes for the majority of my life...
I've known I'm gay for about 2-3 years...
    I've not come out yet...

I figured out that I was gay when I was 25, didn't tell anyone in real life until 27, and am 29 now and still only out to like two people IRL. Maybe that'll change before I turn 30 later this year (yikes!)...

What does knowing mean?? Yeah NOW I realize, but Denial can last a long time. Looking back, I had some clear signs in my teens (but to be honest, some confusing ones too), but I didn't really accept it until a few days ago. I am 49

It took me.... what... 5-6 years. Mostly to do research to make sure I don't cause unnecessary drama.
Though I didn't realize I was pansexual until a few months ago, I just thought I was bi.
So I've come out like three times now XD

I am just beginning to accept myself now, and now I realize it's the beginning of an exciting journey- a tough one- but one i have to take. Once I start to think about that way, rather than a 'disease' i have to accept, things start to change a lot faster.

I realized that I was'nt entirely straight when I was 14. I had developed a crush on my male classmate. I did'nt realize what it meant. To me it was exactly the smae like my first crush, a girl. I thought about it for a week and blurted out to my best friend. Since then I've come out to my trusted friends.

2 weeks... not the wisest of decisions to come out so fast as I was really unprepared for the consequences of what would happen if I was rejected. :icon_sad:

For me to come out it took me about half a year to tell my friends and about a year to tell my siblings. Not quite out to my parents yet, my mom has an idea after about close to two years and I don't plan on coming out to my father.

Three years after I realized that I liked girls on some level.

Or no time at all after I knew I was a lesbian (no longer wondering if I was bisexual), because I sort of realized it as I said it.
