I am struggling with the need to have a man in my life i. Love and respect my wife and don't want to loose her but can't get past this overwhelming need to have a best friend and lover! Am I alone and weird like this?

You're not alone and weird at all. (*hug*)

There are many people with similar experience in the later in life forum, who may have helpful things to say. ^^

I am in the same situation, I am losing my husband... He started out as supportive but now is cold and distant. Ever since I came out as lesbian he seems to want nothing To do with me :frowning2:. It's making me question everything and feel guilty.

Starting with the "friend" part, do you have any close male friend?

And no, your situation is actually quite common.
