Hello! I am 16 gay cis male and I am out to practically all of my friends and my mom (Which is acceptive). I came out to my mom one year ago and I want to come out to my dad. The only problem is, I can't seem to build up the courage to tell him. :frowning2: He's always told me that it's cool if I'm gay and that he will love me and support no matter what (which is so heart warming and great to hear) yet, I feel overwhelmed to just bring the topic up. :frowning2: What should I do? Should I just wait until we naturally have a conversation about gay people and then I say it? I once tried to come out to him but I couldn't pronounce the words "I am gay". Thank you for reading.

    Hey RainbowsFactory,

If it's too hard to tell him directly, have you thought about writing him a letter? Since all it really has to say is "I'm gay," you could keep it pretty short and even make the letter humorous, if that's your style.

    Just a thought.

    Good luck.

    Take Care.

I agree with Quantum. Since he's already told you that he would be fine with it, maybe you could have fun with it if you want.

I agree with everyone. I wasnin the same situation. Although I didn't even know how he would react but I sent a letter anyway because I didn't know how to say it otherwise. Worked for me.

Playing on that a little more you could send him a picture message and in the picture have you holding a sign that says Im gay...

just thought I would throw that out there...

    Wish you luck :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:
