    Thought I'd share this.

So my daughter was a little out of sorts (not really fitting in at school and a little withdrawn) and eventually we get out of her that she's a little confused on her gender identity. It was obviously a big thing for her to share, at quite a young age. As a parent I was just glad she could share it with me, but...

Then I came out to her. It was probably the one thing (other than coming out to my parents), that I was most concerned about, but was actually so easy, as we were both sharing the same thing with each other. She has taken issue with me starting to wear nail polish, so I don't know the acceptance is reciprocated, but it felt like a big family coming out session.

And if there's a moral to it - it's that we all have secrets, but you never know how accepting those around you may be!
